What Data Does Whispr Collect?

Whispr collects very little. Your voice is never stored or recorded — ever.

What we collect

Your email address, so you can sign in
Basic account info from Google, Apple, or Facebook if you choose to sign in that way
Short-lived session codes and connection history (kept for 30 days, then deleted)
The type of phone you use (iOS or Android, OS version) so we can keep the app compatible
Anonymous crash reports — only if something goes wrong, so we can fix it

Your voice — conversations travel directly between phones and never reach our servers
Your location — even if Android asks for the location permission, Whispr only uses it to find the other phone offline; we do not record where you are
Your contacts or call history
Anything used for advertising
